There is a famous quote “You can never stop to shop here in Do Buy” and it happens that shopping is categorised as favourite weekend sport.

Dubai is infamous to offer the best shopping experience from the biggest indoor ski centre, the proud Dubai Mall located at the world tallest building, The Burj Dubai and multi-storey parking space for the shopaholics! But, that’s not all as Dubai Sales Festival usually in January to February and Summer Sales Festival in June to July add excitement in shopping spree.

Sky rise buildings have change Dubai’s face from virgin desert to cosmopolitan city. Sheikh Zayed road, Jumeirah and Dubai Marina are few places in Dubai that has artistic architecture.
Dubai continues to market its unique artistic architecture, shopping experience, local customs and outdoor activities like the Desert Safari, Dine in the sky, Helicopter trip and traditional Dhow cruise across the creek. It is 20 minutes away from Dubai Trade Centre to the Dubai Outlet Mall, home to over 800 of the world’s premium and top fashion brands. The mall is dedicated to being a true value retail destination and they offer discounts between 30% to 90% on majority products available in the 240 stores on offer.

There are 2 Burj landmark in Dubai, the significant Burj Dubai which is currently crown the tallest man made structure in the world at 818 m (2684 ft). The construction began on 21st September 2004 and expected to be completed on 4th January 2010.
The Burj Al Arab also known as Arab Sail is the only 7 stars hotels in the world stands on an artificial island 280 m (920 ft) out from Jumeirah Beach and is connected to the mainland by a private curving bridge. It is an iconic structure designed to symbolise Dubai’s urban transformation and to mimic the sail of a boat. It cost AED 200 for tour.
UAE people are famous for their attachment to their Arabic and Islamic heritage while maintaining an open attitude towards new and modern technologies and foreign cultures. Country’s prosperity is reflected throughout different lifestyles of people within UAE. Love of adventure is the main criterion for leisure activities performed by UAE people; From Camel Racing, Desert Safari and Boat Activities all the way to F1 Races. Generally, people in UAE can be described as conservative with a very humble and welcoming attitude to visitors. One important main activity in UAE is to visit the modern engineering wonders of the world (represented by the extreme urban development) and of course, SHOPPING! Besides nice buildings, the people and exposure to different customs and nationalities is a reason for me to stay. |

‘One small gesture can touch thousands of lives. Take part in building the world’s largest online Pink Ribbon and support the flights to beat breast cancer’.
Well, that was what our DXB team did on the morning of 30th October ’09. Donning the pink ribbon logo white t-shirt with pink caps and pink balloons with our Malaysia Airlines logo, we joined thousand others, adult and child, male and female in the 3.6km walk through the streets in Bur Dubai area. We were touched to learn different reasons they were in the walk, few were to remember the lost ones, few survivors walked to give support and hope to sufferer, others were supporting the importance of breast cancer awareness.
After the walk, there were some activities for participants, adults and children such as live jazz performance, free drumming with Dubai Drums. Pink Bazaar, free arts & crafts corner for kids.
The Pink Walkathon is a charitable, non competitive event aimed to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer, monitored by the UAE Red Crescent Society.’ |

Glamorous and energetic selling team with Honorable Malaysia Consul General in Dubai, UAE and family

Ramadhan bazaar – Dedicated and efficient packing team who packed and prepared selling goods
For the second consecutive year, our MH Team in Dubai participated in the Ramadhan Bazaar held at the Consul General’s residence on 4 September 2009.
This year we had chosen to sell another popular Malaysian delicacy, that is, ‘Tapai Pulut’. The hot and humid temperature did not stop fellow Malaysians who were busy in their selling and buying activities. There were laksa, ayam percik, roti jala, ikan bakar etc. just like the Ramadhan bazaar back home in Malaysia!
Our ‘tapai pulut’ was sold out within one hour with few pre orders from Malaysia Airlines ‘tapai pulut’ fans. Bazaar Ramadhan had brought Malaysia Airlines close to Malaysian community with another Malaysian Hospitality; that is the famous ‘tapai pulut’
We wish all our friends "Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri." |

Family Day
It was great to end 2008 curtain with a memorable oneMH family get-together that was held in Zabeel Park, Dubai.

- Family Day in Dubai -
The family day was filled with activities; BBQ, Beautiful Husband, Eating Competition and many more. The thug-of-war was the closing game with both teams trying to overpower each other. It was a wonderful show of oneMH when the smaller sized team, who were clearly underdogs, was assisted by the spectators to overcome the bigger sized team. This simply showed together as one, we can overcome our stronger competitor. |
